General Information

Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Corporate Services, the Supply Chain Contract Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all contracts are developed with the right vendors on the right terms that will drive performance and value, while operating under safe, environmentally sound, and fair conditions.  This role will primarily support the development of Consultant master service agreements and act as the single point of contact for the Travel Portfolio.



  • Act as contractual “Liaison” between employees and customers, ensuring timely review and approval/reconciliation of variations;
  • Continually identify, prioritize and mitigate risks and issues related to supplier contracts and performance;
  • Provide guidance on contract matters to internal clients, including the training in contracting practices/procedures;
  • Drafting, Negotiation, and Execution of all contracts and ensure executed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties;
  • Oversee the implementation of multiple master service agreements (MSAs), Stand-Alone agreements, and all purchase orders released;
  • Contribute to departmental and internal clients’ business planning;
  • Develop and manage supplier change management and communication plans with respect to sourcing events;
  • Ensure key elements of the original category or non-category strategy are achieved via supplier performance management;
  • Ensure sourcing and contracting activities are properly aligned with the expectations of the Category, Business Unit, and stakeholder groups while educating and supporting the deployment of best practices;
  • Monitor competitive terms and customer satisfaction with our terms and conditions and contracting practices, and recommend changes where appropriate;
  • Onboard, coach and influence clients on Supply Chain processes;
  • Promote and participate in STREAMLINE activities such as team huddles, and promote continuous improvement
  • Support and work with:
    • Category Management and Supply Chain process and technology teams to advance Supply Chain value delivery;
    • Risk Management Department/Finance/Privacy office to coordinate contractual requirements;
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.



  • Strong supply chain knowledge in P2P processes, RFX and contract management
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, people management skills and financial acumen are a requirement;
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management process and systems;
  • Thorough understanding of contract structure, terms and conditions and supplier performance;
  • Experience managing high value relationships with internal and external stakeholders and understanding of their objectives and needs;
  • Working knowledge of information management systems and ability to quickly learn new systems;
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise;



  • A relevant University degree in Commerce, a designation or enrollment in a Supply Chain Management program such as ISM, SCMA, CSCMP, or IACCM, CSCP);
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in Supply Chain Management, specifically within the contract development and supplier lifecycle management;
  • Thorough understanding of contract structure, terms and conditions and supplier performance;
  • Working knowledge of information management systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems;
  • Proven strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise;
  • Enrollment or completion of certifications or designations related to purchasing, contract and bidding law, project management, or business administration;
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, Midstream, Power energy generation, or construction experience preferred;
  • Experience with relevant SAP/Arriba modules would be a very strong asset.
