General Information

Reporting to the Manager, U.S. Payroll, Pension and Benefits, this position's primary accountability is to provide assistance in the ongoing administration and management of the Retirement and Benefits programs for U.S. employees.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, reconcile and process regular Section 125 and HSA plan contributions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
  • Respond to inbound employee benefits offerings, enrollment inquiries, and eligibility verification requests;
  • Provide analytical support and assist with development of presentations and reports;
  • Reviews ACA reports and provides analysis where needed;
  • Respond to questions and requests from employees, HR team members and Third Party Administrators;
  • Support senior team members with regular annual projects such as plan audits, non-discrimination testing and regulatory filings;
  • Prepare employee communications, including SPDs, employee booklets and website content;
  • Provide ongoing support to the U.S. Payroll, Pension and Benefits team and perform other pension and benefit administration duties as assigned;
  • Collaborate with other HR team members on cross-functional projects to improve the efficiency of current and/or new processes and procedures;
  • Other tasks as required.

 

 

Qualifications and Education

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment;
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to deal with changing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, including attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL regulations, HIPAA, COBRA, IRS section 125 and PPACA would be an asset;
  • Advanced computer skills with strong proficiency in Excel.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Benefits or Human Resources related experience
  • Experience with SAP would be an asset;
  • Experience with Ceredian DayForce or similar payroll system would be an asset
  • Experience using ServiceNow or similar case management tool would be an asset.

 

 

*Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home.

*This position will require travel across borders and as such the candidate must be able to provide applicable documentation to this affect.
