General Information

This positon is subject to occasional travel with extended workdays and/or workweeks and overnight stays in support of pipeline facility operations, project activities, and training.

 

  • This position is eligible for domestic relocation
  • This position is not eligible for cross border relocation

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with Measurement, SCADA, Gas Quality and Field Operation groups to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting where required.
  • Work with Measurement, Gas Quality and Field Operation groups to identify, initiate and track improvement projects for existing facilities.
  • Measurement Engineering subject matter expert on new and changes to existing measurement projects to ensure proper selection and installation of equipment for custody and check measurement.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate standards for measurement.
  • Develop expertise in gas measurement practices, standards, and applications including meter specifications, installations, proving, calibration and communication.
  • Assist in developing and conducting training for field personnel.
  • Review of greenfield and brownfield projects from a measurement prospective

     

Qualifications

  • Self- starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities without daily direction.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to work closely with management, customers, field teams and coordinate work with other appropriate technical resources.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and strong working knowledge of RTUs, Gas Chromatographs, Gas Quality Analyzers and Odorant Systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standards pertaining to measurement and gas quality (API, GPA, AGA, and FERC).
  • RTU programing experiences a plus.
  • Must possess strong decision-making ability.
  • Proficient with PC including working knowledge and experience with Microsoft software.

     

Education:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, with 5+ years of natural gas industry experience.
